Episys® Virtualization™


Episys Virtualization™ supports both server and storage virtualization, which enables credit unions to support infrastructure expansions with reduced capital expenditures. Episys Virtualization enables multiple Episys applications to run independently on a single server by creating a pool of shared resources for the applications. Separation of these applications is accomplished through the use of IBM® PowerVM® to create logical partitions (LPARs). Episys Virtualization eliminates the need for separate servers for Episys production, Episys test, AIX test, and development and training by enabling these instances to all reside on one physical server in its own LPAR. In addition to reducing hardware-related costs, virtualization allows data center capacity to be reclaimed and reduces power consumption.

Episys® Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI)


Episys Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) enables a central server to support multiple desktops throughout the organization, reducing user requirements to a keyboard, mouse, monitor, and a client connection (end point) device to access a fully-featured Microsoft® Windows® environment. Typically, the end point device is a "zero client" with no memory, software, or moving parts. Fat clients or old PCs also can be repurposed as endpoint devices.
